Over-35 Bride of the Day

The only part of this that isn't just crazypants is how awesome Liza looks. At least she still has that. When that-era Michael Jackson is one of the most normal-looking people in your wedding party, well, that must have been a party.

Can you hear our eyes rolling?

"Older women's bridal dresses can be selected from the 'Mother of the Bride' dress collections. These include long sleeve, single piece dresses and other formal attires. Two-piece mother of the bride gowns are an ideal option for older brides."

This tidbit came from a depressing Google search for "older brides." While the blog, which we're not naming, also concedes that older brides (whatever that means) can chose anything they want, even designer gowns, it can't help but suggest that maybe, you know, you oughta just give up and go Grandma. Again, if you feel your best more modest and covered up, it's your day, and you do what you want. But don't let anyone tell you that you have to, or what most brides do. We went to three weddings in 2010 (our own, each others, and our best friend's), and A) We're all pushing 40 and B) we were appropriately hot. None of us went floofy frilly 20-year-old bride, because that's now who we are. But we all wore white (or white and champagne, in Leslie's case). From the bridal section. Deal with it.
